Format: Kindle Edition|Verified PurchaseI enjoyed this book thoroughly from beginning to end. A world with rules waiting to be broken and injustice to be corrected. The conflict of black and white for right and wrong is stated simply when it comes to survival. Do we kill to keep our rights, how much is too much before you have to fight back. Is it a right to choose who you are, or is that a fabricated choice by those in power?

Format: Kindle EditionAt first, I had to admit that I was skeptical: I did not know what to expect from a book that might not have been my first preference in a bookstore. However, the author’s word choice and her way to write short and powerful chapters kept my attention from beginning to end. Indeed, I am looking forward to reading the second part and seeing how the inner world of each character evolves over time. Heather can make you sit for hours before your realize the story comes to an end! Enjoy it.

Format: Kindle EditionEasy to pick up and read (I may have read some while driving). A whole slew of like-able characters with their own motivations and conflicts that, for the most part, come together to work towards a greater goal. A darker theme, but still very approachable. Doesn’t fall for any of the common pitfalls or cliches and just generally has a “fresh” feel to it. Definitely excited for part 2 and will be picking it up.
